Where i Thrift in Malaysia

Have you ever been into thrift shops and you're immediately.. just... disappointed?
A few months ago during my KL trip, my uncle brought me to one of THE BEST THRIFT SHOPS I'VE EVER BEENand noo!! its not those thrift shops that have weird smells.πŸ˜€

How I Thrift  😎

I believe everyone has different styles that they go for when thrifting, we already have that specific look that we want in mind. For me, I'd tend to go for the Old-school, Vintage and Summer looks when thrifting.
I always look for a vintage sports jacket, men's over-sized graphic t-shirts/polos and Hawaiian shirts. πŸ˜ Windbreakers, for example, could easily be worn as outerwear and those over-sized men's t-shirts are later MEANT TO BE CROPPED. πŸ˜‚

There are 2 thrift shops that I go when I'm in KL, both are very different in terms of the price range, a variation of items, location, and shop size. Soooo by sharing my thoughts and experiences there, you can decide on which to drop by in your next KL trip. Read on to get the addresses and tips to thrift there!!

1. Family Bundle (waterfront)

Jalan Awf 1, Ampang Waterfront,
68000 Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia

I've been to this one quite a few times as it is near to where I was staying. Location wise, it's literally in the middle of the street and could be easily spotted while driving there.
The 1-level shop is of a decent size so spare some 15-30min for your thrift session here. Their prices ranging from as low as 5 RM to 100+ RM. You can expect some cool vintage windbreakers, winter jackets, and graphic tees. Their jacket collection is a hit !! I've found a Champion windbreaker for 10 RM and REEBOK winter jacket at 40 RM !!πŸ‘Œ

2. JBR Bundle

Taman Kemacahaya,
43200 Cheras 9 Miles, Selangor, Malaysia

Ladies and Gents, JBR bundle is HUUUUUGEEEEEE. You may need 30-60 minutes of your spare time to thrift to the fullest. Their price point is slightly higher than the Family bundle but I can assure you, its worth it. The shop has 2 floors, the whole of the second floor is specifically curated for branded items, yes there are some Tommy Hilfiger pieces!!  But do not let that sign-board fool you! I got myself some Ralph Lauren polo tee that I found on the first floor. ✌😜✌ You may need a lot of energy if you intend to view "rack-by-rack" but it's worth it.

Location wise, however, its kind of in the middle of nowhere and I do not recommend you to go there alone at night driving there can be spooky.πŸ‘» the drive route is very, narrow and "curvy" so please be extra cautious. But its definitely a-must for thrifters to visit!

I got a total of 5 items from both thrift sessions and I vlog it all if you're curious about my thrift haul and how much I got those items for do check out my vlog here!
There's plenty of thrift shops in Malaysia compared to Singapore, just ask some locals there I bet they would be happy to share! do it like the locals they said!πŸ˜‰
